FAQ

Answers to some of the most frequently asked questions

Where do you manufacture Rebel Green products?

We are committed to manufacturing our products in the United States. As a result, we have only chosen those manufacturers who share our philosophy regarding environmentally responsible production methods. In fact, many of our manufacturers use considerable amounts of renewable energy to power their facilities.

At present, our manufactured products come from California, Texas, Vermont, North Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois.

How do you package your products?

Smart people know that less is more. The same hold true for packaging. Our gift packaging is beautifully minimal and carefully chosen to reflect our concern for the planet.

  • gift boxes are made from 70% post consumer recycled content.
  • tissue paper is made from 100% post consumer recycled content.
  • ribbon is produced from renewable, biodegradable cotton fiber, processed responsibly with water-based dyes and without chlorine bleach.

Why organic cotton?

We use 100% certified organic cotton in our products because conventional cotton farming is damaging to the environment. At present, cotton is the most pesticide dependent crop in the world. It takes approximately 1/3 pound of pesticides, herbicides, and defoliants to grow enough cotton to make just one conventional cotton tee shirt.

Do your printing methods differ from traditional methods?

Printing done with traditional methods leaches harmful PVC’s into the environment. So, we’ve gone with low-impact water-based printing on our apparel wherever possible and we use soy–based inks on all of our paper.

Why the eco-friendly washing instructions?

We recommend washing our products in eco-friendly detergents because it’s the right thing to do for your skin and the planet. Plus, your money talks and every time you choose to make an eco–friendly purchase, you are sending the message to those savvy marketers that being eco–responsible matters.
